Instruction ProgramThe Provincial Instruction program is responsible for arranging Class 3 clinics as well as upgrading clinics for Class 2 and 1. This program provides assistance to local Districts by coordinating the preparation of training modules for refresher programs. In addition this program is responsible for the annual Provincial Referee Symposium. This program is run by the Chief Instructor with the assistance of Provincial Instructors around the Province. The current Chief Instructor is Carman King.We will use this area to provide access to various educational materials useful for refresher programs and other training clinics.
Instructional MaterialsWe have accumulated a lot of new materials they are now all posted on a page specifically for the Instruction Program here.Assessment ProgramThe Provincial Assessment program is responsible for performing annual assessments for maintenance, upgrading and development, managing fitness testing and supporting upgrading recommendations. This program is run by the Chief Assessor with the assistance of Provincial Assessors around the Province. The current Chief Assessor is James KeastDetails about the Assessment Program are posted here including new assessment forms for 2006 and an enumeration of expectations for Referees and Assistant Referees at different levels. Mentor ProgramThe Provincial Mentoring program is responsible for coordinating the Referee mentoring program at the Provincial level. The mentoring program is intended to facilitate the mentoring of less experienced officials by more senior experienced officials. In particular this program is targeted at Class 3 referees since they are largely outside the scope of the Provincial Assessment Program.The program is implemented by the local Districts with support and guidance from the Provincial Mentoring Coordinator. The Mentoring Program Coordinator is also responsible for summarizing and reporting on the mentoring done in all Districts of the Province and for reviewing the programs run by each District. Each District must report back on their mentoring efforts and fill in the Mentor Program Summary Form to be eligible for RDC funding grants. The current Provincial Mentor coordinator is Dave Horne.
